Teen Board

In-Kind Friends formed a complementary Teenage Board of Directors (“Teen Board”) to its Board of Directors (“IKF Board”) to:

  • Foster a love of amplifying community impact in young adults by participating in the philanthropic efforts of IKF’s clients and other local non-profits;

  • Participate in activities that improve their corner of the world;

  • Expose young adults to how a board of directors operates;

  • Offer young adults an opportunity for leadership in the non-profit space; and

  • Connect with other teens and have fun!

In Their Own Words

The teen board is a runoff of the big board. As with them, we give our time and talents to other nonprofits to help them grow. As the teen board, we are committed to making our community and our corner of the world a better place.
We help to teach high school children how to serve on a board and the teen board offers opportunities for leadership and philanthropy. Teens also learn how to connect with other teens formally. There will be many volunteering opportunities and prepare you for college very well.
